Mineral imbalances and the hidden cause of low energy
Fatigue is rarely just sleep. Often it's magnesium, iron, or B-vitamins — and it's testable.
Walk into most IV lounges and you will be handed a menu. Immunity. Glow. Hangover. Performance. It is a good business model and a poor clinical one, because the blend you need is a question about your bloodwork, not your mood.
The most common mistake is loading up on what feels intuitive rather than what is actually low. Vitamin C for everything. High-dose B12 in someone whose B12 is already replete. Meanwhile the actual deficiency — often magnesium, iron, or vitamin D — goes untouched, and the fatigue that brought them in does not shift.
Our sequence runs the other way around. A brief clinical review and, where indicated, bloodwork comes first. The results decide the drip. Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need one at all, and that an oral protocol plus a sleep correction will do more for you than any infusion.
Where IV genuinely wins is absorption. Bypassing the gut means near-complete bioavailability, which matters enormously if you have impaired absorption, are recovering from illness, or need to correct a deficiency quickly. That is a real advantage — it is just not an argument for everyone getting the same bag.
